South Africa’s most affordable Mini SUV is finally here with a new look. The exterior looks pretty much the same as its predecessor, but it’s the little changes that go a long way. The bumper looks stunning with the fresh new garnish that carries through the side skirts to the rear, with the plastic door sills removed and a set of alloy wheels completing the sporty look of the new-gen S-Presso.
When CMH Suzuki Pinetown popped the hood, we found the new Dualjet 1.0 K10C engine, which proved successful in the Suzuki Celerio. Even though the S-Presso dropped a kW (Kilowatt), it now boasts better fuel consumption than its predecessor. CMH Suzuki Pinetown took it for a spin and averaged a fuel consumption of 4.6l/100km on the manual version, which is an improvement from the going-out model.
Upon entering the stunning S-Presso, you will find minor upgrades to the spacious cabin. Chief amongst these is the improved infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In the GL+, you can expect to get a 7-inch touchscreen that can screen-mirror your phone, whilst in the S-Edition, you will get a 9-inch touchscreen.
Overall, the Suzuki S-Presso provides value for money. Suzuki dropped an almost flawless model, from the high ground clearance to the affordable price. Get optimum fuel efficiency for under R200 000.
